NMCWatch is a voluntary group of nurses and midwives who support those who are going through or have been through Fitness to Practice and local investigations. This mug is being sold as part of the fundraising activities of this group.
This specially commissioned piece of art was used to advertise our recent highly successful conference ‘Oxytocin’. This is now available as a poster.

A3 poster designed by a former Steering Group member, Sarah Montagu. The text is attributed to the Tao Te Ching, a classic Chinese script from the 6th Century.
‘You are a midwife, assisting at someone else’s birth. Do good without show or fuss. Facilitate what is happening rather than what you think ought to be happening. If you must take the lead, lead so that the mother is helped, yet still free and in charge. When the baby is born, the mother will rightly say, “We did it ourselves!”

Written by long-time member Lynn R S Genevieve, Midwife Voices, is a living archive of the Association of Radical Midwives (ARM) whose members were asked, ‘what does it mean to you to be radical?’ It is a collection of reflections from invited contributors, the verbatim transcribed voices of the membership, and reprinted articles from the association’s journal Midwifery Matters, along with true, birth stories shared by the author; Midwife Voices is a radical anthology. Any profits from the sale of the book will go to the Association of Radical Midwives.
