Midwives Voices Matter: Time To Be Heard
Registration starts at 9am.
Speakers
- Martha Miles, PhD student, University of Leeds on ‘Why Midwives and Student Midwives aren’t being heard in the current debate’.
- Ruth Weston: participatory session on what has worked and what hasn’t regarding ‘Why Midwives and Student Midwives aren’t being heard’ with attenders and from her experience.
- An ARM and an AIMS update on work over last year, what is planned and how to get involved.
Plus workshops and a plenary debate on the vilification of women’s physiology and midwifery. Please bring your ideas for the fight-back.
Includes vegetarian lunch and coffees/teas/biscuits etc.

I was certified as a Labour doula and Assistant midwife by DONA trainers at the renowned SIMKIN Centre at Bastyr University in USA.
I have also attebded various burth related workshops like breastfeeding et al.
I am interested to attend the upcoming ARM event in March 2026.
