Welcome to the new radical online ARM membership

Please read all sections of this page carefully as it contains the information ARM members need to make the successful transition to the new system.

The new membership system is an online membership system with a recurring membership. Every year your membership fee is deducted from your credit card/Paypal automatically (this is recommended), or if you choose bank transfer/cheque the membership will be renewed upon payment/arrival of cheque.
You can change or cancel your membership at any time in your membership account.

Please cancel your standing order as it is no longer necessary.
The new system will either collect the fee automatically using your card/Paypal details or send you a reminder to pay by bank/cheque. You will get several reminders to renew your membership. If you do not renew your membership will expire.

ARM members have been imported into the new database as ‘Legacy Members’. Everyone needs to renew their membership using our new system in order to enjoy the benefits of recurring membership. This can be done any time before your current year’s membership expires. Irene (our fab membership secretary) will be very grateful if you’d renew your membership as soon as possible and become part of the new system – it will be a big help to us in our Babymoon.

It’s easy to make the change! Simply log into your membership account, then select the ‘Change Membership’ option and choose the correct level of membership.

What should you do now:

1. Log in to your membership account on the website
2. Check all your details and make sure they are correct
3. Check your expiry date and if that is in the near future then:
4. Renew your membership

Below is the explanation of how everything works. If you have any questions or run into a problem, please do not hesitate to email us on membership@midwifery.org.uk

How to log in to your account the first time:

1. Click on Log In in the Menu

You can login with your email address or username. If you do not remember which email you used to register or you do no longer have access to that email address, use your username. This is the first letter of your first name and your last name, all in small caps. If you have a double last name, then just use the first part. For example Anna Walker-Jones will have the Username awalker and Ann-Marie Smith will have asmith.

Because it is a new system you will have to set a password. To do that click ‘Lost Password’ on the Log In screen.
Fill in the email address or username and click ‘Get new password’.
You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Click the link and fill in your new password and click reset password. You will now be able to log in with your email address/username and that password.

If you do not get an email (please check your spam folder as well) send an email to membership@midwifery.org.uk for assistance.

In your Membership Account you will see the following:
Your Membership Status, where you can update your billing info, change your membership or cancel your membership.
Your account details with links to go to your profile and change your password and, later on when you’ve paid online, your invoices.

Your Profile: if you click ‘edit’ or ‘change password’ in your account you go to your Membership Profile page.

Please make sure all details are correct.
Click ‘update profile’ at the bottom of the page.

You can also change your password here at any time.
To do that click on the ‘generate password’ button.

Fill in your desired password and click ‘update profile’ at the bottom of the page.

You can go back to your account any time by clicking ‘Back to my account’ on the bottom right of the page.

If you would like to change to the new system straight away (recommended), go to your membership account, then select the ‘Change Membership’ option and choose the correct level of membership. Check all details on the page and follow the system through the payment. When completed your membership will be updated to the new system and you will therefore have the benefit of automatic renewal every year without having to do anything else.
