Conference Venue – The Village Hotel, Nottingham
We are returning to the super Village Hotel for our National conference. It’s a friendly, smart and comfortable hotel. There are great spa, health and swimming facilities (no planned disruptions or closures this time!), so why not make a weekend of it with your friends and relax before and after you’ve visited the conference.
The Village is conveniently located near Attenborough Nature Reserve and can be easily accessed either by public transport or by car and has ample free car parking for delegates. The nearest motorway junction is M1 Junction 25. (See below for detailed directions.)
If travelling by train, you can travel to Nottingham, then get a connection to Attenborough Railway station which is about a half-mile walk from the hotel. Or you can travel by bus from Nottingham train station, or get a taxi or Uber.
Nottingham City Council has introduced a cycle hire scheme which visitors can access and the cycle hire place is near to the main Nottingham railway station. So if you’re a cyclist then this might be a good option – there are cycle paths for most of the way, though it is nearly six miles so the Google estimate of 30 mins might be a bit optimistic! The link for the cycle hire scheme is here.
There’s also a possibility of car sharing which is a really nice way to get to know another ARM member, so if you would like us to request a car share, please message the ARM Facebook page.
Many of our delegates have booked to stay at the Village Hotel on Friday night and this is a good option but do book your room as soon as possible as these are limited.
Another option may be to stay at the Orchard Hotel down the road at University Park – it’s only a few minutes drive away and we can recommend this hotel as it was very nice when we stayed here before.
There are lots of other hotels and Air B and Bs in the area.
Or why not stay with a local ARM member which will save you some money and you may make a good friend.
