British Sign Language Workshop

03 May 2022 7:30 pm

Online Workshop with Kai Alba

Kai Lambert-Russell
Kai (they/them) is a midwife in the North of England. They are not D/deaf or hard of hearing, but they have studied British Sign Language up to Level 2 and are keen to share some simple BSL as well as D/deaf awareness. This session will be introductory and is not accredited. Communication is one of the most fundamental aspects of midwifery practice, and this workshop aims to equip you with some key phrases for midwifery, as well as D/deaf awareness so that you can better serve women, birthing people and their families.
